Windfall is an elegant palomino mare foaled May 2, 2004. She was her previous owner's main riding mare and is finished for working cowhorse and mounted shooting events. She has covered a lot of miles trail riding and has been started in cutting. She is very cowy and has an excellent work ethic. She inherited her conformation from her mother, the highly cherished Whippoorwill Salus, a Californio daughter. She is perfectly balanced front to back with strong, sturdy legs, a short back, nicely arched neck, thick mane and tail, a pleasant and peaceful face set off with big, brown eyes. She has a big, brilliant trot when she wants to show off, but will sit right down on her hocks to stop & then rollback perfectly when at play. Her attitude is welcoming and pleasant.
Windfall, aka "Fancy" arrived in foal to Whippoorwill Newmoon (bred by Mossrose Morgans, Wisconsin, USA in 2015) and gave us a stunning bay filly who is a keeper for our future: SVMH Celestial Surprise!
We were really excited to see her being bred to our own cremello stallion, Amberfields Luminescence, since Californio, the "golden stallion" is Windfall's grandfather on her dam's side and Lumi's great grandfather on his dam's side, and are extremely happy with the palomino colt that was the result of this breeding. SVMH Blazing Glory (name pending - aka Spirit) was born in 20, May 2018.
